This series gets better by the book (so far anyway). I have to say this is a well written series, even if it is geared for a "younger" audience. Still not totally sold on having Boba in here, but I don't feel as bad about it. I still almost wish they had used a different bounty hunter, or use an Inquisitor. Maybe he'll grow on me as the series progresses. Don't get me wrong, this is only a minor gripe, but it's the only strike I personally have against the series. Ferus is a good main character, and Trever is as well. The overall storyline is well conceived and well presented. Hopefully we'll see more of Obi-Wan and almost as much of Qui-Gon. It has me hooked to find out more.Product details

I haven't read all the series yet but the books that I have read are great and I can't wait until the day I get them all. Star Wars is a passion of mine and these books help me to escape to a Galaxy far far away.
The writer is great. I first started reading them when I worked at a machine shop while running a laser. I was immediately hooked and set out to get the rest of them including this one.
Great story! I love most star wars stories, even though it felt short and some of the characters a bit less developed. I look forward to more.
The continuing story of the last of the Jedi & what Obi-Wan did before episode IV is a great story. Since this time period is considered "Canon", I think that Marvel, who has picked up the comics/graphic novels from Dark Horse, should start a series based on this story as it would be fascinating to view this story & read it through that medium. I will be emailing Marvel to suggest this, and I encourage everyone who enjoys this part of the Star Wars saga to do the same! May the Force be with you...

By only real concern with this series, which I am enjoying quite a bit, is that we already know that the quest the main character finds himself on is doomed. It does not read like it is actually a part of the expanded universe as we know it, but more like fan fiction. That being said, it is inexpensive and a quick read, and well written. I will buy the entire series and read it.
Even though this book is short, the pace of it makes it enjoyable. It also provides a good connection between episodes 3 and 4. The book also provides insight into how Obi-Wan Kenobi copes with Anakins betrayal. It is an enjoyable book for any Star wars fan.
My son enjoys reading (even if he won't admit it), but sometimes it's a struggle to get him to read new material. He's read many of the Tree House Mysteries, but he's really beyond them. These Star Wars books are more challenging, but not greatly so. He's challenged, but not frustrated. I've read many Star Wars books and read this one as well. The author keeps the story moving and fast paced enough to remain enjoyable for readers of all ages.
